Bounce Par-tay!

I normally have a party for Brady's birthday, but this year his birthday list included a TV for his room. We told him that he could not have a party and the TV. He chose the TV but I hoped he wouldn't be disappointed when the big day came and there was no party... Our fun loving neighbors came to the rescue when they invited us to their Bounce Party!
The eagerly anticipated inflatable maze is under construction!
How fun!!! These kids played non-stop for six hours!
They were all exhausted, sweaty messes by the end of the night!

Happy Birthday Brady!

Happy Birthday Brady!

The big 7!
Brady's pile o'goodies!
New Lions jersey from the Cibors!
Suction cup bow and arrow set from Uncle Jon and Aunt Jen!
Yay - a new TV for his room!

Birthday Soccer Game!

The soccer season kicked off on Brady's birthday. He is number 7 - because he just turned 7! Second grade soccer is much more serious than first grade. It seems that they've weeded out the kids who aren't really interested in playing the game. Should be an interesting season!

Friday Night Lights Indeed!

On Friday, the Rockford elementary students
were invited to the Ram's game as a reward for logging 15
hours of reading over the summer.
Kendall and Owen walking into the game.

They also got to walk around the track while
everyone cheered for them. Here's Todd, Mark and Owen.
I couldn't get a good pic of Brady.

Owen and Brady rolling down the hill.

The stands were packed with Orange!

Military Encampment

On Sunday, we went to a Military Encampment held at the Grand Rogue campground. It was really cool! People dress in authentic military garb and set up camp to demonstrate what it was like back in the day.

These guys were waiting for their lunch to cook on the fire.

They already roasted some corn on the cob.

Look how big the wheels of this cannon are!

Brady was really interested in this gigantic bullet.
No, this guy is NOT wearing pants... He was representing the Native Americans and had lots of furs and such. Kendall pointed to one of the furs and asked him what happened to his dog.
This gentleman was portraying a French Canadian fur trader. He was very interesting!
On our way out, a war broke loose!
What a cool experience!

First day of 2nd grade!

Today is Brady's first day of 2nd grade! He's taking it all in stride and doesn't seem overly nervous or excited. I was happy that he let me take pictures this year - he even smiled!
